Who makes the candles at ViRa?

Every candle is handmade by Vidya Ransam from her home in Bangalore. ViRa is a one-woman-led business.

What are ViRa candles made of?

All candles are made with 100% soy wax. They are toxin-free, phthalate-free, and burn cleaner than paraffin.

Are your candles safe for kids and pets?

Yes, soy wax is a safer option. But please keep any open flame away from children, pets, curtains, or drafts.

Do your candles produce soot?

Soy wax gives very little soot. Trim the wick to ¼ inch before burning for an even cleaner flame.

Are the candles made after I order?

Yes. Each candle is made fresh. I need 2 days to pour, cure, and pack it.

How long does delivery take?

Total delivery time is usually around 10 days — 2 days to make and 5–7 days for road shipping.

Why are the candles shipped only by road?

Airlines restrict wax products because they can melt or deform due to cabin pressure. Couriers also charge a dangerous-goods fee (up to ₹500) for air shipping. To avoid this cost and keep your candles safe, all parcels go by road.

Do you offer express or air delivery?

No. Air delivery isn’t possible for candles, and express delivery is not available.

Where are the candles shipped from?

All orders are shipped from Bangalore, Karnataka.

Do you take bulk or return-gift orders?

Yes. Bulk orders need around 15 days — 5 days to make and pack, and the rest for road delivery.

Can I customise colour or scent?

You may WhatsApp me with your request. Some customisations are possible depending on the design.

What if my candle arrives damaged?

Send a clear photo and your order details on WhatsApp within 24 hours. I’ll help with a replacement wherever possible.

Do you accept returns?

Since each candle is made to order, returns are not accepted.
If you still want to return, you must send back the entire order with the bill. For the return address, please WhatsApp me.

Do ViRa candles smell strong?

They have a soft to medium fragrance — enough to fill a room gently without overpowering.

How do I care for my candle?

Trim the wick to ¼ inch, keep it away from wind, let the top layer melt evenly, and never leave it unattended.
